Contract Management

Contract management covers the entire life cycle of a project. It begins before the contract is signed and ends only after the warranty has expired.

Contracts Management

Efficient project management is the basis of a successful company. Projects are defined by contracts in which the mutual performance obligations and boundary conditions are agreed.

The project and the contract are in equilibrium at the start. However, any change leads to a disruption of this equilibrium. If the contractor delivers more, the contract price no longer fits. Contract management ensures that the balance is restored.

Contract management does not mean that their employees need legal training. However, there are basic methods and tools that can be used to implement efficient contract management.

Contract Analysis

Successful projects are successful contracts. Identifying risks as far as possible before the contract is signed and then minimizing them with suitable measures is an essential key to success.
Contract Tools GmbH has extensive know-how on the subject of risk identification and risk minimization for all types of projects and contracts.

Every project requires an adapted strategy development. A strategy requires an objective and knowledge of the specific boundary conditions. Contract analysis determines the content of the contract: what is to be delivered and what are the boundary conditions. The risk analysis limits this analysis to the risks and chances, whereby on the one hand a commercial evaluation takes place and on the other hand over the methods of the risk management a reduction of the risk is to be reached.

Baseline Management

Baseline management is an element of contract management and is concerned with ensuring that the customer gets what he has paid for. No more, but also no less. If too much is delivered, higher costs are incurred and the contractor makes losses. If, on the other hand, too little is delivered, then a claim from the purchaser must be expected.

At the end of the project, baseline and project status should match. Contract management ensures that the baseline in the contract is adjusted, if necessary, so that there is again a match between the baseline from the contract and the currently changed scope of delivery.

Coaching

Coaching is a form of consulting that is specifically geared towards executives with management responsibilities. The coach is a neutral advisor who does not take over the client's work, but primarily supports the client in developing suitable measures. Especially in projects, where employees have to apply a new methodology parallel to their normal work, coaching is very suitable. Often, many questions arise at the beginning of the implementation of new processes. The coach is the starting helper, who helps over the first hurdles.

Projects in areas that are not yet part of the core competence of your employees' work offer the chance to do more than just conquer a new area or implement a new problem solution during "training on the job".
